Lori Champion, PTA
As a new employee everyone has been very friendly and warm. It reminds me of a quote I once heard, ''IF YOU HIRE FRIENDLY PEOPLE YOU DON'T HAVE TO TEACH THEM TO SMILE." Helping patients regain their function always makes me smile.
Craig Roberts, PT, MPT
I feel that physical therapy is not to treat a diagnosis but to treat the patient themselves. We strive to ensure that we treat each patient to their personality and specific needs. Home health therapists always strive to go that extra step like mowing someone’s lawn for them after hours, or stay after work to help a patient get into their swimming pool, or use the WI games to help with their balance. Our goal is to help change the person's quality of life.
Marla Stratman, PTA
I am proud to work with such a fabulous group of people who go above and beyond everyday to put their patients first, and provide the highest level of patient care available. ProRehab puts a great deal of emphasis on providing top notch services to everyone we serve. By providing respectful, confidential, and outstanding customer service, ProRehab has set the standard for quality health care in the community.
April Rutledge
AmaZing Principles are just that...principles that should not only be utilized at work, but in everyday life.
Three years ago ProRehab@Home gave me the opportunity to get back in touch with the patients. It makes me feel like I make a difference too. I didn't realize how much I missed communicating with the patients until I started working with the @Home family. Yes, we are a family. Communication between each other is not quite as easy and we have to constantly go that extra mile to talk to one other. Sometimes that even includes after hours. We are special because we get the opportunity to give a more personal approach to treating the patient.
I make a difference. Every patient I call, every schedule I send. This is why I love coming to work every day. And every employee here cares, and they want to make a difference too.
Jenna McClary, PT, MPT
Having witnessed ProRehab grow from it's infancy, I can certainly attest to how AmaZing it is! I believe wholeheartedly that what sets us apart from other businesses is the sincerity of our staff. People can see through those who are just doing a job. And what I have seen consistently is that our employees and owners genuinely care about our patients and each other. Relationships and how we treat others are what this life is all about! Putting these things above the "bottom dollar” will continue to make us inherently strong and successful. ProRehab is a great company to work for, for sure.
Laura Poland
“To say, my fate is not tied to your fate, is like saying your end of the boat is sinking”
Hugh Downs.
I look to this quote as a reminder of how imperative it is to be accountable for the work you do every day. Every individual has a role and, no matter how large or small that role may be perceived, you have to believe that your every-day actions are important and depended upon. ProRehab's efforts to empower each individual have gone a long way in fostering professional pride, ultimately creating an AmaZing culture from ground up.
Kerri Wilkie, PT, MPT
I feel like I utilize the principles by making each pt's visits personal to them. I address them and their family and show interest in their needs. I try not to focus only on why they are coming here but talk about what they enjoy doing. I listen and respect them and encourage them. I try to make therapy fun for them to enjoy coming to. I develop a relationship with the patient based upon my abilities to help them and gain their trust, knowing that I am looking out for their best interest.
As far as utilizing the principles with my co-workers...I work to be a team player and help out when I can. I respect my colleagues and look to them for other sources of info when needed. I tried to listen to them and respond to them when needed.
I love my job because I get to help people! I get to make a difference in someone's life by healing them mentally and physically, encouraging them, and motivating them. There is nothing better than knowing that you touched someone's life!
I have become involved in organizing a young breast cancer survivor group called Ribbon Chicks through Komen. This has given me the opportunity to branch out and educate others on breast cancer awareness and help them with their journey. My goal is to help these people while educating them on the services available through physical therapy than can help them. Eventually, I would like to become more involved with treating these patients myself.
Amanda Cox, PT, DPT
My favorite thing about ProRehab is the team approach. Everyone works together all the time. I feel that we all really care about each other and out patients. We pride ourselves on providing excellent, evidenced-based care.
Brian Kelly, PT, DPT, ATC, SCS, COMT
ProRehab is a company that employs individuals who care as much about there patients as they do about each other. Although it is impressive to see how many people have advanced degrees and certifications, it is more impressive to see how each person touches the individuals they work with each day.
Alan Tomczykowski, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS
ProRehab pushes their therapists to strive for excellence and the therapists in turn push their patients to strive for the same.
Angie Rupert, PTA
I’m always willing to address pt's concerns/problems whether it be related to scheduling, finances, communication to MD, work, diagnosis
I always lend a hand with case load during the day or to work extra when schedules are overbooked.
I love coming to work not only because of the types of patients I treat but the people I work with as well.
The company as a whole supports half marathon, high school physicals, food drive, etc.
ProRehab is known for hiring quality people with a servant's heart. These principles are ingrained in every individual they hire as all seem to have the pt's best interest at heart.
Jill Crick, OTR/L, CHT
I try my best to employ these principles because I believe in being a good person and a good therapist. I want to try my best at my career. I want to treat people the same way I would want to be treated. Patients come to see us because they are not well. I want to do my best to restore a harmonious life for each patient.
I want to be a good person to my fellow co-workers. They are my friends and almost family. I try to respect every co worker's opinions, needs, and beliefs.
I love helping people feel better both mentally and physically to hlep them continue on their journey of life. I have made some great friendships with my coworkers. I know they will be there for me.
I feel the therapist and I always go above and beyond with each and every patient. We always try to give the best quality of care.
I have been with this company for several years and I believe in the company I work for. We are all good people trying to help individuals restore a functional life. All of us that work at ProRehab have similar values and beliefs. I think this is why we are such a great group of people that are amazing. We are caring, trustworthy, and respectable!!!!!
Kristin Sartore, PT, DPT
I use a positive mindset and try to make my patients feel welcome for every visit by asking and actively listening to them when I ask them how they are doing.
I will give my treatment advice when asked, give them an ear when they need to talk, and a hand when they need a little help....that is if i have good advice to give, an ear left to listen and time to help. :)
I love the people I work with; they are great and AmaZing.
Going above and beyond is the culture at ProRehab and can be seen by looking at all the ProRehab employees at the 1/2 marathon, race for the cure, all those that coach, and at physicals.
Sean Malone, PTA, ATC
I treat the patient not the diagnosis.
As an Assistant Clinical Manager, I try to help my co-workers enjoy work by having a fun environment.
My co-workers and patients are what I love about coming to work each day.
ProRehab definitely goes above and beyond to provide AmaZing customer service. From the daily grind of treating patients and making their experience enjoyable to all the extra stuff ProRehab employees do. We make it an AmaZing Experience.
Del Nance, PTA, ATC, CSCS, NASM-PES, NASM-CES
Some call it AmaZing principles but that if a bit flamboyant for me. I prefer the term Creed which is by definition, a codification of belief doctrine.
Nevertheless, it is a system of opinions that you formulate and portray in your actions both social and professional.
My principles are simple.
- No task is impossible, it just requires proper planning.
- Treat others as you would expect to be treated.
- Patients come to ProRehab voluntarily
- When times get stressful, consider the whole situation, consider all options to
solve the problem and then formulate the best answer for all parties.
- Never forget to ask others for help, I do not know everything, can not doing
everything, and can not make all people happy all of the time.
Kathy Coomes, PT, MPT, CSCS
The REO clinic is a great place to work as it allows me the opportunity to do what I feel is my calling. I get to help people. However, many of my patients are also now my friends. In our small clinic, we get to know one another and many of the patients already know each other. It brings about a very encouraging and helpful situatution for everyone.
I have loved being in one of the smallest clinics in the ProRehab family but I get the oppurtunity to share it with many people in Spenser County. There is always a warm smile and a friendly hello. I tell patients that they don't have to wait till they get hurt again to stop by. Many stop by when they get new pictures of grandbabies and to drop off vegetables from their garden.

Our culture here at ProRehab I feel is not only very important to me, but to my co-workers and our patients as well. I think that it's very important for us to keep a positive attitude and maintain the friendliness that we all possess when dealing with each other and our patients. After working with different companies in my life, I can truly say that I feel at home with ProRehab, and that in itself can make all the difference in the world, not only to me, but I feel that it gets passed on to our patients as well. It also puts them in an environment where they know that they are important and will be cared for.
Julie Turner
Human Resources Assistant
When I began working at ProRehab we had less than 10 employees and I was very proud to be one of them! One thing I always stress when training our new hires is ProRehab operates as a family oriented company who really cares about the employees. They believe that family always comes first and that is what we have here at ProRehab, a family atmosphere.
ProRehab is successful because of every employee, from the front desk (first and last impressions) to the therapists, assistants and ATC’s treating the patients and not to forget the technicians who keep our clinics clean and organized throughout the day. Our staff is the best of the best and our owners are always the first in line to tell you what a great job you are doing.
It means so much to me to work for a company who has and believes in the same values that I believe in. I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.
Tina Hoskins, RHIT
Compliance Officer
ProRehab is my extended family; I treat my fellow employees with respect and in turn I get that respect back. My Mother always told me to put myself in someone else’s shoes, to “treat others the way you would want to be treated”. Some of the AmaZing principles are just that, listen, learn, respond, friendly, sincere, all of these principles are what everyone should do in their life everyday with everyone. This will only create a positive atmosphere. Negativity breeds negativity, you have to rise above to put a positive spin on any situation.
Healthcare is forever changing so being the Compliance Officer is definitely a challenge with keeping up with all the rules and regulations. I enjoy doing what I do; I like the “research” of it. I like getting to the bottom of things and trying to problem solve situations that could make processes easier.
Kim Coy
Billing Supervisor
ProRehab's culture is a healthy culture. Some other companies where I have worked the culture is so stressful that it affected my health as well as some of my co-workers. It is easy to work for a company that asks and listens to your opinions and suggestions. There is no dread of coming to work for a company that considers the best interest of the patient as well as the best interest of the company and tries to combine the two to the best of their ability. You will not find a more caring staff that will go the extra mile for our patients and fellow employees.
My way of giving back is through youth sports. I volunteer my time for the Lakeview Optimist Club. I run the concession stand for baseball and football so I get to interact with coaches, players and parents. There are kids in our programs that do not have the money to play or buy things from the concession stand. The program always makes sure that the kids that can't afford their fee get to play. My husband and I will give money for the work the other kids do such as pick up an area of small trash, sweep or the older kids will wrap burgers to earn food from the concession stand. I can't think of a better way of giving back than to give to kids.

EVERYONE at ProRehab from the front desk on makes my job such a pleasure;
You are so caring & compassionate about those you work with & treat. It is very rewarding to represent and market a company you truly believe in.

I personally do not have actual contact with the patients, but I have seen other employees engage in contact and believe we are all very professional and courteous, and try do what is in the patients best interest. As far as working with my co-workers I believe everyone works together to get the work done so that we can service our patients to the best of our ability. I like working for ProRehab it is a company I can be proud to work for. I believe ProRehab has a great reputation in this community and now we are reaching out further with Home Health. We can also be proud of all the community activities in which we are involved along with now other parts of the world. In my experience not many other companies can say this. We are a growing company with a family feeling.
Amy Tenhumberg, PHR
Director of Human Resources
Working for ProRehab has given me the opportunity to growth both professionally and personally. 10 years ago, when ProRehab first opened, seems like a life time ago. 6 people have grown to 130+ employees, 1 clinic has developed 8 more clinics, added the state of Kentucky, added the Home Health Division. What’s next? There’s always something new around the corner and that’s what keeps things exciting and NEVER dull! The teamwork at ProRehab is indescribable! Employees of ProRehab are committed; always give 110% to each other and to the patients, The ProRehab Culture goes something like this…… It’s “we” not “I”, It’s “ours” not “mine”. ProRehab is the BEST!
Amanda Thomas
Assistant Controller
ProRehab's culture is based off of Amazing Customer Service. From day one, the patients and doctors have always been number one. Patients are always treated with respect and care from all of ProRehab's employees.
As an employee, my days at ProRehab are always made easier by having such an understanding and family oriented supervisor. Juggling work and family always comes with difficult decisions and sacrafices. From sick children to personal dilemmas, a day at work can always be made easier with caring co-workers.
Ashley Riecken
Billing Specialist
On a daily basis, I try to be the best that I can be for our patients and my co-workers. The Amazing principles this company has set as our standard are principles I feel should be carried out in everyday life towards all people not just our patients or fellow employees. Being friendly, caring, listening, greeting warmly, serving, making good judgments, having a good mindset, having principals...these are things all people
should carry out at all times so I try everyday to be a better person to those around me.
Ashley Dame
Marketing Coordinator
Our employees not only provide exceptional care to our patients but we’re also proud of the support we provide the community through sponsorships and volunteering. We love to give back to the community that has given so much to us!
Paul Gorman, PTA, ATC, CSCS
Every day brings another opportunity to interact with patients’ and clinicians’, working towards a common goal. The personalities in our clinic set up an easy going, friendly atmosphere that allows us to get to know each other and our patients.
Phil Plisky, PT, DSc, OCS, ATC, CSCS
At ProRehab we have a culture of learning and collaboration. Every clinician, whether practicing for 2 months or 25 years, is actively engaged in professional development. This occurs daily through co-treating with complicated patients, informally discussing/problem solving regarding patients who are not get better, and monthly clinical in-services. We work together and watch each other’s backs so the patient has the best experience.
On a personal level, we treat each “better than family” by celebrating each others accomplishments and mourning our life challenges. Most importantly, we know how to have phenomenal carry-ins…..we eat well!!!
Kourtney Bryant

I treat our patients like I want my parents or any other family member treated. I want to always be amazing. My Co-workers are amazing and I will be amazing back to them and loyal. I love the way employees pull together and help each other. I am not sure anything I have done is going above and beyond but I do try to help anyone who needs it. I have fixed a patient’s child’s hair. Helped people make it upstairs. I try to help people in the community as well. From carrying packages to cars, giving someone money to get something to eat, and helping animals. Everyone deserves amazing customer service and a friendly smile.
Cheryl Rentchler, PT, DPT
I really try to get to know each patient I treat so I can focus on what matters most to them.
If I had to describe Columbia Street in one word I would use the word TEAMWORK. From the front desk staff, to the techs and therapists we all work together to ensure that the patients receive AmaZing care. The best thing about Columbia Street is each and every clinician is willing to share their own areas of expertise to help other clinicians grow. We challenge each other daily and hold each other accountable to integrating the most up to date EBP.
I love watching my patients improve while surrounded by some of the best friends I could ever have.
Often, we go above and beyond to serve our patients. On several occasions I know therapists that have come in on weekends or holidays to provide treatment if indicated. I also know of a group of therapists that went to a patient’s home to help trouble shoot an elbow CPM.
Jamie Thompson
Front Office
I treat our patients with respect and as a friend; just how I want to be treated.
I listen to what my co-workers have to say and learn from them as well.
I love coming to work each day because I feel like I matter. I feel important and appreciated everyday.
I feel that the AmaZing principles are very important to follow. I feel I deliver AmaZing customer service to our patients. I care not only about the patients but the entire ProRehab team. Definitely the best first choice in everyway!!
Thomas Knox, PT, DPT, CSCS, RKC
I always make sure that I greet my patients by using their name and with a handshake when I first see them. I always try to ask them a question about something that is going on in their lives unrelated to PT. With new patients I get to know who they are and what they do for a little bit before beginning to dive into the PT aspect of things to let them know that they matter as a person just not as an injury.
I really focus on listening to whatever my co-workers have to say no matter how busy I am. When one of them is having a problem or issue with anything in the clinic I do my best to take the time to help out.
I love the variety of people I get to work with as co-workers and the variety of patients I get to help. There is never a dull moment!
At Vincennes, we try to do a lot of treatments that involve multiple Physical Therapists’ and incorporate Occupational Therapists’ in order to get more eyes and ideas on a single patient.
Lisa Kiesel, PT, DPT
At ProRehab, we truly work as a "team"...both at individual clinics and between clinics. I am frequently getting emails from therapists at other ProRehab locations asking for my assistance in treating their patients...this is truly teamwork!! We have many experienced therapists with a variety of expertise and interests who are all willing to share their knowledge with other clinicians to treat our patients with the best evidence based treatment approach! When I think of one word to describe the "culture" at ProRehab, it is "teamwork".
Kelli Goedde, PT, DPT, OCS
Culture of Indiana Street:
Mrs. Jones doesn’t have transportation until noon…Mary Kay skips lunch and running errands at lunch to fit her in.
It is raining very hard outside and Mrs. Schmitt is walking on a walker to get to her car. Melissa grabs an umbrella and escorts Mrs. Schmitt out to keep her dry.
Erik sees a questionable change in a patients incision healing and he pulls over the primary therapist to assess change in status since the pt’s initial visit with primary therapist.
Anne recognizes a commonality between her and Kelli’s terminal cancer patient and she suggests buying this patient a Steelers hat and socks to keep him warm while undergoing chemotherapy (they both love the Steelers).
These are just a few of the examples of IN Street employees going the extra mile to make patients feel comfortable within our clinic and with the care being given by our staff.
I can honestly say I haven’t met a more flexible group of clinicians and staff to work with. Our motto is “Never a dull day at ProRehab” and I can honestly say that everyone here rolls with the punches of everyday life from working through lunch to staying late to making phone calls to referral sources on behalf of the patient…I am very proud of the care we deliver at the IN Street Clinic and our company as a whole.
What sets our clinic apart?
We have several specialty areas offered at our clinic from specialty spine care to vestibular rehab, lymphedema and foot orthotics…not to forget women’s and men’s health rehabilitation. A unique setting but each different area allows us to see the patient as a whole and offer a larger package of available services to our customer’s and help create a one-stop shop for all of a patient’s rehab needs.
Our loyalty surveys reflect this as every therapist’s name has been mentioned on the customer comments sections and many positive comments have been made in regards to our front desk staff. It is like one big family. Professional yet down to earth.
Anne Basden, PT, DPT, CSCS, MLD/CDP
From the very beginning Pat and Jody joined therapist and employees of the highest professional quality and moral content into a family to work together to be a great company. Not only to the community through providing top notch therapy but also by community service. We began mostly through providing free sport coverage and physicals to the kids but then simply by the nature of the handpicked employee base we reached out to the community at all levels as individual proudly representing not only ourselves but ProRehab. Everyone was truly proud to work for ProRehab for the ‘’stand up’’ character that we were founded on. Our patients were our families and friends. As we have grown, so have our families and friends and our desire to take care of ‘’our own’’. We spend most of our adult lives at work and working in a clinic with people that we consider family allows us to greet and treat people that come to us as we would greet and treat people joining us in our own homes.
We laugh, celebrate, joke, support and cry with each other through various life events.
We as individuals have many times gone beyond the normal expectations of our positions. In the last few months these things have been acknowledged in the news letter’s however this is not a ‘’new’’ thing to this group of individuals. These are simple examples of how we choose to live our lives as individuals and Christians not a demonstration of a ‘’motto’’.
I love what I do and I am good at it. I and we help people. We touch their lives in a very personal way. We, as they, will be changed (even in an ever so slight way) for the rest of our lives because of what we do and who we are. It is addictive and contagious working with people of character, people who treat others as they would want to be treated.
Melissa Brown
Team Leader/Continuing Education
Working in the front office we get the first chance to show our patients just how friendly our company is. We want them to feel like family--"You only get 1 chance to make a first impression." If you are happy with your job, and truly believe in the services that you provide, that comes across to the patients, and they will in turn want to be apart of that environment, as well.
I love coming to work each day because I honestly believe that we are the best first choice. We have the best employees and our environment is more of a family than just a workforce. When you really enjoy the people that you work with, it makes it easier to leave your family at home to come to work.
I feel that we all go above and beyond to help out the community. As a company we have always participated in events, such as, the Half Marathon--both as runners AND volunteers, the Race for the Cure team continues to grow each year, food and clothing drives, CMOE, participate in all sporting events as either trainers or sponsors. It is hard to find things that we have not participated in one way or another.
Kasey Wahl, ATC/L
ProRehab is a physical therapy company. Therapy is what we do, but not what we are about. We are about caring for the people that walk through the door everyday. We provide more than just physical care. We are the patient’s friends. We treat them like family and take in mind their best interests. ProRehab provides the best physical care, but combines it with unbeatable patient-therapist interaction.
Joey Pettyjohn, PT, DPT, OCS
I go to work everyday with a good attitude, a smile on my face, and the mindset that today I am going to make someone feel better.
I try to make this an enjoyable place to work, so that my co-workers don't have to attempt to employ the AmaZing principles but that AmaZing principles just come naturally.
I work with a great group of people and get to make a difference in people’s lives everyday.
I feel like everyone in our clinic gives 110% to our patient’s everyday.
The AmaZing principles are a set of beliefs that every employee shoulder embrace and use on a daily basis to make sure ProRehab remains the Best First Choice in Physical and Occupational Therapy care.
Courtney Howton

I truly enjoy working for ProRehab. Working with such a great group of people helps to make each day much easier and enjoyable. Seeing the smile on patient's faces when you greet them by name, developing friendships and listening to their stories shows you truly care about them. Showing each patient we want them to be here is a big part of having AmaZing customer service and showing other providers we truly are the Best First Choice.
Bethany Richerson, PT, DPT, OCS
The ProRehab Culture means working with people who strive to get the best possible care to the patients that they see. ProRehab strives to be the very best at what they do. A family oriented company who provides who cares for their employees and their patients.
JW Durst, PT, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS
Working with ProRehab of Kentucky has afforded me the opportunity to offer my patients one-on-one care in a caring and professional environment. We are able to use the latest techniques that research has proven to be the most beneficial. Working along side my colleagues, we are making a positive difference in the lives of our patients. There are not many organizations could make that statement.

Being a part of ProRehab is a very rewarding experience. Patients receive the very best care and respect they deserve and as an employee, I feel very fortunate to be a part of this “Amazing" team!
Tim Weinzapfel, PT, DPT, OCS
The patient is the most important part of the day. Without them, we don’t exist. When I read the AmaZing principles, I think of family. These principles are the way I would treat my family or how I would like them to be treated.
By treating each and every co-worker with respect and a caring attitude, it allows everyone to feel they are a part of the AmaZing family. Once a co-worker realizes they belong and fit in, you can really have fun.
I love coming to work because I know that I am an integral part of the ProRehab family and can make a difference in the lives of others.
The AmaZing principles can be summed up as a means of treating others the way you would want to be treated. Everyone wants to be heard and know they are important. When treating others with these principles, it is accepting the other person as being important in every way. Their problem is important, their concern is important, their success is important. It is really about being friendly, as a professional. It is a lot easier to go visit a friend to discuss a problem, than a stranger.

ProRehab is like a family to me. I am related to a few employees quite literally, but I am so close with everyone I work with. Regular patients become good friends too. It is great to be able to come to work each day among friends. I can truly say that I enjoy coming to work every day. You don't have to force a smile to greet a patient when you love your company!
Alicia Thomas, PTA, ATC
I think that by using the Golden Rule you will serve your pts this best way possible. Put yourself in their shoes. You would want to feel welcome, respected and like you are getting the best possible care. We learn our pts names, learn about their families, as well as learn what they expect to accomplish from therapy. We work hard to encourage them and guide them to meet those goals
We are a family here at ProRehab. We support each other, we care about each others families, and we are here to help each other not only in our work day, but outside of work as well.
I love to see our pts and all that they achieve each visit. I love to make a difference in this community, whether it is here at the office or in the local high schools. I love to spend time with the other employees getting to know our pts.
We are all very involved in community projects. We support each other and our pts when they participate in local events like the TRYathlon in Vincennes. Some of the employees that didn’t participate were there as volunteers, cheering on the women that did participate. We also are involved with the Susan G. Komen bike race. We participate in decorating a light pole in the park during the holiday season with the proceeds benefiting the Parks and Recreation Department. This is not including the involvement in many of the Career Fairs and Health Fairs that our employees volunteer to attend and answer questions.
I think that we are able to apply these principles on a daily basis due to the small community that we are located in. We are able to get to know our patients and most of our patients know us or our families from outside the clinic. It is an easier route of communication when the patients feel like they know us on a personal basis and they know you truly care for them and their health/well-being. We see each of their achievements as achievements of our own. THEY are part of our TEAM.
Mark Goodrich, PT, ATC, SCS
I focus on the Golden rule and the Mother principle. I try to teach others the way that I would want to be treated, and the way that I would want my mother to be treated assuming she was the patient.
I try to put the needs of my co-workers above mine and Listen, Learn, and Respond when a problem arises.
I love coming to work because deep down I know that I have been blessed to work in a caring profession that can make a true difference in the lives of the people we/I treat.
We listen to our pts and become friends with them so that we can develop sincere compassion for their concerns and physical limitations .
The AmaZing principles are great guidelines to follow as we strive to provide the best customer service and physical therapy service possible. Putting the patient and their needs first, is always the best practice.

When patients need assistance with insurance problems, I do the research and answer their questions. I always offer to explain the insurance EOB (explanation of benefits) to them if they have questions. I welcome our patients by name and always with a smile. Some patients have no idea how to read the EOB and don’t understand why they have to pay.
I learn what my co-workers need and expect so that they have it before treating a patient. We have discussions regarding their schedules and I anticipate their needs before they ask. I follow through on their requests ASAP.
I never dread going to work as I enjoy the interaction with patients and co-workers.
We have purchased Christmas gifts for children of patients’ that have been injured and unable to work. I have become a clown to provide entertainment at benefits in and around our community. We provide sponsorship for events that help our community become a healthier and more active community.
Everyday that I come to work, the patients and co-workers are my focus. I try to make the patient’s visit as pleasant as possible and make sure the therapist has the information or tools they need to treat the patient in a timely manner. I listen to complaints and follow up them with the appropriate person. I treat everyone in the manner that I would like to be treated.
Jill Templin, PTA
I always have my patients best interest in mind; I try to treat each of my patients as I would want any member of my family treated.
We all try to help each other out. If we know one of our co-workers patients is waiting and they are busy we will bring that patient back and help out--most the time not being asked or told to do so. We are a team, not every man for himself.
I truly enjoy all of my friends (co-workers) that I work with; we have a nice relaxed atmosphere, not intimidating--friendly no back stabbing or cattiness. I love helping and getting to know my pts. We all band together to help each other out and be there either professionally or personally when needed.
We just do what we do, I feel like we always go above and beyond with our pts and with the community--we are just doing what we do best, that is just how we are and we do it because we love what we do, not to be recognized for anything.
Laura Happe, OTR/L, CHT
When treating a patient, I usually learn more about them then just their name. By the end I usually know the whole family by name.
I help where needed when asked and sometimes recognize the need before being asked.
I love that my bosses also see patients and do the same work as me. They participate in the daily grind.
I don't think anything that we have done is above and beyond. The employees in our clinic do great things for the community because that is who we are.
I love that in our clinic most of the patients are called by name. Most of the time a patient is greeted by an employee that is not their primary therapist. I love that the clinic can have many therapists working at one time and still feel small town.
