Orthotics ProRehab, PC offers an onsite Pedorthics laboratory.
Pedorthics is the design, manufacture, modification, and fit of
footwear, including foot orthosis, to alleviate foot problems caused by
disease, overuse or injury. Working from your prescription, a
Certified Pedorthist alleviates foot problems by fabricating, or
modifying shoes and foot orthosis.
Services
- Custom Orthosis including dress shoe orthosis, combined
and integrated with the correct fitting shoe.
- Shoe Modifications: Footwear can be modified by the
addition of heel wedges, lifts, extensions, flares, stabilizers,
custom shoes, and 6 different rocker soles. Shoes can be
modified to accommodate just about any foot deformity
- Disease management: For chronic diseases like
diabetes or arthritis, prescription orthosis and shoe modifications
can be an important part of management of the disease.
Prescription footwear has been shown to be a key factor in
preventing amputation in diabetic patients. Prescription
footwear can mean decreased pain and better support for foot and
ankle joints for your arthritic patients.
